Home office set up - 2007-08-05
Good evening, hope you have all had a good weekend, they take ages to arrive then fly by in an instance. Since leaving Uni all the fun and stress free living, and starting full time work, Ive realised there is truth in the saying - You live for the weekend - Well this weekend We have done quite a lot to keep us busy.
On Saturday my dad came over to the house (Nathan and I moved into a couple of months ago, first home together) and fitted a worktop across the length of the spare room we now call - The Office. The worktop stretches in front of the window overseeing our street and the hills on the horizon. Sunday Nath and I went to staples to get chairs, paper and other office equipment. The spare room is now officially a comfortable working spot where we can sit to update Click Discount, introduce more products and of course discount codes which is what we know our visitors really want. Its also in the pipe line to set up an email communication system [Nathan Note: Now added a email address - comments@click-discount.co.uk ], where by you can send us your comments/improvement suggestions - When this facility does go live, please make use of it as we want to bring you the best service possible. We will be posting updates on the new system so watch this space.
So, were both sat now in the office working side by side at the worktop, with Leo our beautiful green/yellow budgie sat admiring himself in his mirror (We bought for him today). Since putting the mirror in his cage he has kissed, fell out, and made back up with himself several dozen times. Its getting quite late now, but I'm enjoying working here in the new office, I'm sure the novelty will wear off in time. At least up here there are no distractions such as Big Brother! I don't really miss not watching it either.
Another memorable moment that happened this weekend was Nathan and I getting engaged, after 6 happy years together, through thick and thin we have stuck by each other and come through stronger than ever. We were both sat in the house this morning having a heart to heart when he asked the question, didn't have a ring prepared, no fancy restaurant or artificial romantic moment. It was perfect timing! We plan to go out next weekend engagement ring shopping, cant wait I am over the moon with happiness!
